Anonymous2: ^ They are just using the "oh-so-creative-and-intelligent" design scheme behind the characters of the show, new color= "oh wow!" "totally original character now!!!!!"
Anonymous6(2): The person above me complained about variation, but somehow was oblivious to how all the characters from this show are all the same, with small color swaps.
Anonymous7(4): FiM has more character design variation than any other MLP show to date. Girls alone have at least 6-7 different body types, and guys have at least 5. And that's not counting pegasus/earth/unicorn separation, which adds even more diversity.
PinkBallons: @Anonymous: And hair, and cutie mark, and what Gomen said...Anyway, why would that make it okay to recolor a bunch of images? It takes very little effort, and doesn't portray anything new.
Anonymous8(2): No, at least the other MLP had a mixture of species this, does not. Just the same overused copy pasta with spray paint. Adding small variation i.e. adding wings, does = originality. It's funny how many pictures from this disease are just recolors of the same thing and none of you complain. However, when it's used in a context you don't agree with, all Hell must break loose.
CrotchboobAddict: @Anonymous: It's all about personality dude... I don't really see any difference between one human and another if I don't know them..
Anonymous9(4): @Anonymous: Did you even watch the show? The mixture of species is plentiful. Donkeys, cows and zebras just to name some non-pony Ponyville residents, then there's a large bestiary of creatures and monsters and different races like Changelings.
Anonymous10(2): Personality ... You mean the stereotypical and highly unlikely cookie-cutter personas aimed at children? You have to be kidding me, that's laughable. Try spending time around real people and finding out what a personality actually is, it's more complex than your cartoon horses.
Anonymous12(4): @Anonymous: Alright, you can stop here. You're obviously biased and/or didn't watch the show at all. No point to continue embarrassing yourself any further.
skunkwolfe: @Anonymous: You don't like the show, we get it. Now do us all a favor and find something you do like and leave us in peace with our pony-porn.
Anonymous17(2): Ah, in delusion as always instead of making a valid point and expressing their viewpoints, they retort by trying to force you to watch their shitty show.
Anonymous18(4): @Anonymous: Well duh? Because, you know, if you spew bullcrap about the show pretending like you know what you're talking about when in fact you haven't actually watched it your argument is automatically void.
PinkBallons: @Anonymous: What comments have you been reading? Many valid points and viewpoints were expressed before it became obvious that you have little to no experience with the actual show.
Anonymous22(2): I could also argue to grow up and watch a "x" show with substance, but that would be a mute point, because I'm "biased", as if none of you are biased yourselves. Please.
PinkBallons: @Anonymous: You know nothing about the show other than what you've seen and heard through the fandom, and yet you go on rants like you know everything about it. Grow a pair and watch an episode or shut the fuck up.
PinkBallons: @Anonymous: Why the fuck would I want to be associated with someone like you? Even if you watched the show you would still dislike it, but at least your points might actually make sense for once.
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: Look, if you don't like the show, that's fine. But don't go around harassing us solely for daring to have an opinion different from yours.
Anonymous27(2): Harassing you? You're replying to me, in delusion as always, you're the ones freely commenting on this picture, I'm not forcing you (i.e. Trying to unitelligently force you to watch a show).
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: So? Other shows have used recolors of characters, so why aren't you harping on them? Like Transformers- they're made by the same company, and they use recolors all the time. Why aren't you picking on them?
PinkBallons: @Anonymous: Oh, you got me. I'm so mad right now.
Seriously though Sintime, get out. You had your chance here and you blew it. You have no new material, it's the same old, tired, nonsensical arguments that have been refuted time and time again.
Anonymous29(2): ^ Your claims are basically "Go watch the show", blah, blah, blah, using your logic, In order to know anything about AIDs I would have to get infected with the disease.
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: That isn't at all what we're suggesting. You don't need to infect yourself with AIDS to know what it'll do- you just have to do some research on it. And what better way is there to do research on a TV show than by sitting your big fat ass in front of a TV and, oh I don't know, [i]bothering to watch it?[/i}
Anonymous30(2): I made my claims and I have much more I'm willing to share with you, all you have to do is read. I'm don't have to direct you anywhere or try to use the mentality of a child who says " Everyone else is doing it"!!
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: Again, I point to your original claim of recolor=unoriginal. As I said before, Hasbro (the owner of My Little Pony) has done the exact same thing in another of their toylines, Transformers, and yet, you aren't complaining about them doing to Transformers what you claim they're doing in My Little Pony. So I ask you, why not? Why are these issues relevant only when bright, pastel-colored ponies are involved?
Anonymous32(2): Someone who doesn't like MLP must definetly be Sintime! Jee golly, Anyone who doesn't vote for Obama is a Racist republican gun lover!!!!!
Anonymous35(2): Because someone here made a statement about variation, I replied there isn't variation to begin with, amid a sea of cookie cutter "personalities" if you're going to use that excuse as well.
Lapp: @Silent_Witness: Honestly, in a lot of ways society would use the "only people with AIDS know what it's like to have AIDS".
So Anon, just realize that you aren't trying to win an argument with an objective, mediated body. I'm factually biased towards the show because I believe it has aspects that are worth being biased towards. And I like the bronies here because I believe they all have good reasons to like.
So no, you won't win an argument by attacking someone when you're on their ground; in that light, you're wrong. If all were good and right, I'm not saying you should be wrong, but simply as things stand, you are.
Anonymous36(2): ^ translation: You're wrong simply because you, I want to believe that.
Still very off topic, at least you put more thought behind it that an unclever attempt at conversion.
Anonymous38(2): Claiming, there's only one ground to know of the existence of AIDs or anything else, is utter ignorance, and thinking, "oh by catching AIDs, I will gain the most information about it ..." doesn't make sense on any logical ground, same as anyone who screams OH NO YOU DIDN'T WATCH THE SHOW YOU KNOW NOTHING.
Lapp: The Anon. Honestly, his argument wouldn't necessarily be bad if it were being received objectively by sensible, objective people. But it isn't. And thousands of years of rhetoric will tell you can't win a subjective argument by discrediting your opposition. You just offend them and look rude. :(
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: The difference in this case is that MLP isn't a horrific virus that'll kill you. It's a fucking TV show. Despite what you may think, watching it isn't going to kill you, or make your dick fall off, or... whatever the hell else you haters think watching the show will do to you.
Anonymous40(2): You're also doing the same thing sir, I'm discrediting them because I know they aren't going to be unbiased and take a neutral ground, Seeing so many holes in their logic picture after picture in the comment thread becomes a bit tiring. It's as if they ignore them on purpose so I thought I'd bring them up.
Lapp: @Silent_Witness: True. Discrediting an opponent appeals to mediation or otherwise disinterested parties. The anon removes all of his own disinterest when he wants to vehemently attack us using any reason he can manage. He just proves that he hates us, really. xD
Anonymous41(2): Maybe it's not a virus, but it's often compared to one, also taking into account the mental state of the fan-base, a virus can be psychological as well, ask any religion.
Lapp: It's cool, Anon32. And honestly, I'm being kind of a dick and hypocrite because I openly like a lot of the bronies here before the fact. This just isn't an argument that either of us are gonna win, so I really think we'd best quit... Of course, this is the Internet so people have a preternatural love of anger and argument. :<
Anonymous42(2): If you say something stupid enough times, and someone corrects you over it, that does not equal hatred, you're using your terminology in a poor attempt to pre-emptively discredit any opinion you don't like.
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: I find it a little disturbing that you see opinions as needing correction.
And just so you know, that Reply button that appears when you mouse over someone's comment? It isn't just for show.
Silent_Witness: @Anonymous: I never said I had a sexual interest in real-life horses. You wan't to make a credible argument, don't try putting words into other people's mouths.
Silent_Witness: @Silent_Witness: " I find it disturbing you're into real and cartoon horses, but hey, there might be worse things out there."
This is what you said. You said this, in response to me.
Anonymous47(2): It was a general statement directed to whom it concerns, you however, took it as a direct statement to your person.
Does this somehow apply to you?
Silent_Witness: @Silent_Witness: What I'm about to say will most likely be seen as internet blasphemy, but bear with me.
I don't like Homestuck.
No, you did not misread that previous statement. I. Do. Not. Like. Homestuck. (Personally, I think the pacing is poor and it's too gimmicky.)
But just because I don't like it, does that mean I'm going to go to every Homestuck image on this website, bash the series, and claim that everyone who likes it has a severe mental disorder?
No. No I won't. Because as a functioning member of society, I can respect the fact that there are other people who may have interests that differ from my own. And there are others in this fandom capable of such a feat as well.
So, if we're capable of tolerating others for their interests, why is it so difficult for others to return that same courtesy.
bAv-R34: Shit guys, I leave for like two hours and suddenly everyone's drowning in autism!
@Anonymous: @Anonymous: @Anonymous: ONCE AGAIN, every single fucking anime in a nutshell.
The fact that I am repeating myself should be a big enough hint as to what I am talking about.
Unless you're an idiot.
@Anonymous: Something tells me you never even saw a single episode.
@Anonymous: >has a shitty narrow-minded argument
>accuses opponents of being terrible at arguing
@Anonymous: attractive and successful African you just went full retard.
@Anonymous: The only person as to who your arguments make sense is yourself. Which, frankly, means you suck at arguing.
@Anonymous: >everyone else is doing it
I actually don't really care if there are people who don't watch the show, and I'd rather not have the entire world think good thoughts on it. There'd be no variety in interests.
@Silent_Witness: ESPECIALLY in anime.
@Anonymous: see @bAv-R34:
@Anonymous: You're the one who apparently believes that taking a single look at a cartoon will turn you into a homosexual. What are you, twelve?
@Anonymous: I may look at pony smut for a fair fraction of my day, but I actually hate real horses. Fucking things are huge, smell like shit, and their mouths are fucking scary.
@Silent_Witness: THIS.
@Kidd: Go to bed.
@panaotizz5: Also this.
Lapp: @bAv-R34: I just sided with Pink after a while, and gave up...this anon needs to be locked in a room where his social and logical ineptitude can fester on its own. :(
Anonymous49(2): Still, no valid refutable points or even a intelligent cohoherent reply to my topic. All I hear is akin to a child who's been caught by a parent and uses "monkey see, monkey do" logic to excuse their behavior.
Faptacular: @Silent_Witness: *Standing Ovation* I've been wanting to make that argument for ages now. Though since I've never even read any homestuck I probably would've cited Adventure Time.
I'll now go and duck bricks thrown at me by A.T. fans.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: If you had done your research, you'd be able to see that each character has a unique eye, mane and tail design built from the ground up. Twilight has bangs, Rarity has hair that spirals, Pinkie's is really poofy, Fluttershy's is long, parted and has curls at the end. The only two that are even remotely similar are Applejack and Rainbow, and even they have subtle differences; Applejack's mane is longer and kept in a ponytail, whereas Rainbow's is shorter and messier. Even the background characters have unique designs.
Now we get to the bush you've been beating around. What could you possibly know about how the characters are handled and fleshed out if you've, by your own admission, never seen it in action? All the character archetypes are covered, and given a unique spin, and as such, appeal to a wide audience.
I'll admit, I pretty much hated AT at first. But more recently, they've kinda dropped the Regular Show type random shit and taken a bit of a darker tone since the Lich was first revealed.
Hell, I actually was surprised by one of the more recent episodes. Nothing spectacular mind you, but an interesting plot that I didn't expect.
Faptacular: @Hierolocc: I'm probably headed in that way myself. First few promos had me facepalming hard but I've seen a few episodes and while I didn't outright hate it its still on the "not for me" list.
If there's nothing else on I might watch a bit more.
Anonymous55(2): Small almost irrevelant changes mean nothing, also you even referenced the background characters who by all intents and purposes, the very best case of the poor design, with the majority of them having no difference than a color swap between each other that reeks of a design from some Chinese processing plant.
Again, I'll keep repeating the same thing until you understand, comprehend, or which means this text can get pass that unused mass behind your eyes: Information can be obtained through multiple methods, other than your unclever attempt at conversion.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: Put the goalposts back.
"The only difference is colour"
"There are other differences than colour"
"...(shit)... well... those don't matter!"
It doesn't matter that there are other sources of information, since you refuse to remove your head from your ass and look at them.
Anonymous57(2): talk about ironic, you refuse to acknowledge any medium other than the empty clause of "since yo didn't watch the show or enough, you can't possibly know anything", using it as a prime excuse to bluff yourselves into discrediting anything you don't like.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: I just acknowledged that there can be other sources of information. But considering a basic description of the characters, obtainable through a google search is all that's needed to disprove your points, and you've yet to actually back up any of your points, I'd say it's safe to assume that your ass is the only place you've been pulling information from.
Anonymous58(2): Disprove what? Copy paste? No real variation? Stereotypical predictable personalities molded to fit appearance at a basic level aimed at children? Believe it or not, they aren't aimed to appeal to overweight, lonely men over the Internet. Nor will they ever be.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: Simply looking at the characters is enough to tell you that the variation is very much real. But I guess even that is too difficult for you.
They're aimed to appeal to audiences of all ages, as any interview with the creators will tell you.
But since that is both true, and undermines your point, I expect you to ignore it in favour of more insults and baseless claims.
Anonymous59(2): You would call a stray line, or a smudge there "variation", which actually matters so little as it's very easy to create the same character body type and alter small parts of them. As for your audiences of all ages statement, it's only going to appeal to kids or mentally underdeveloped adults, which has been proven can be any age, like you.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: There is far more variation than stray lines, and the art doesn't even use smudges.
"I expect you to ignore it in favour of more insults and baseless claims."
"As for your audiences of all ages statement, it's only going to appeal to kids or mentally underdeveloped adults, which has been proven can be any age, like you."
Called it!
Once again, you've proven that you (willfully) know nothing about what you're talking about. What kid is going to get a reference to The Big Lebowski, or any of the other countless references and adult-oriented jokes. There's also humour that appeals to all ages. I'm sure if you could process what was going on on the screen. you'd laugh at the likes of Wile E. Coyote. You've also failed to consider the parents who watch it with their children. It was designed for all ages. Being faced with evidence proving you wrong must be a strange and terrifying experience, but you'll get over it.
Anonymous60(2): No self respecting adult is going to sit down and watch this unless their children want to at the moment and they are spending time with them, something you'll never experience mind you. Guess who wrote and designed those shows? No, it wasn't cartoon characters, it was adults themselves, designed for children key-word "for children". Evidence? You're using circle jerk to back up anything you think. Much like a mad Christian who uses the bible to verify the bible.
Thumper: @Anonymous: Meh, you're just hating on anything good. What's 'good' to you,what you got going on? If your position is so sound, (and what does it matter since you're an anon anyway), why not step up and enlighten us as to what's really good?
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: I am a self-respecting adult and I sit down and watch this. It was created for all ages. This is evidenced by the adult references and jokes contained within the show, and the fact that the people who created the show said that it was created for all ages . (Points you haven't addressed, no doubt because you'd rather pretend they don't exist so they don't ruin your argument. A rather poor debate strategy)
Anonymous61(2): Anything rated G is "created for all ages" but that doesn't exactly mean it is. You ignore the points I made up about it being created and voiced by adults who's main goal is to market it to children, Your "Adult" (references, whichever you consider adult, since clearly you will never be one yourself) Is never going to be anything above a rating that a kid wouldn't be traumatized over. There's a REASON why this broadcasts on the HUB during a time frame of other children's shows like strawberry shortcake, I guess you're going to now claim it's also created for all ages because of some almost meaningless references that will always stay within a rated E or G frame. If anyone's pretending, it's you, children love doing that.
Anonymous62: All right, here is a 15 year old KID, who is going to tell that, with a few exceptions, everyone debating, no, arguing about this, aren't adults. Using good grammar doesn't make you an adult, but your comments do.
Anon 2, you keep saying that MLP characters are mass-produced and have no differences other than the colour and their personalities are predictable and "cookie-cutter". I haven't watched the show (I don't even know what bronie means. . Wait. . Bro+pony=bronie?) but what the fandom says makes it sound like they do have differences. To this you say . . .they don't. You say that they are the same mass-produced shit that every children show has. And guess what? I think you're right. Nearly every childrens show has the same character types But, obviously, there must be something different in it because it has such a big fandom. And I think you should respect them, not as fans of My Little Pony, but as people, like you and me. They like talking rainbow coloured ponies, while you're on this site watching porn/hentai (like me :I).
And besides, real adults wouldn't be arguing about what do other people like or dislike (or trolling other people for that matter), and they wouldn't be calling other people virgings, children or bastards.
MLP likers, stop this stupid argument by acknowledging this troll's opinion and then leave it alone. If it starts to insult you, you reply or not reply, your call.
If you want to, you can continue this argument for Nightweaver20xx's joy and satisfaction ;).
PS. Sorry if there is spelling mistakes.
PPS. Or, you could all be famous and apologize. Probably you'd be the first to do that on the internet.
PPPS. G_G & Fapp, you are top depaters.
Anonymous64(2): Foremost and firstly, if you're 15 years old as you say, you're in violation of the age limit of the site. Come back in 3 years, then talk.
Anonymous66(2): Also, logging out and posting as an anon is poor form, I'm pretty sure you're someone who was already commenting here, the thread hasn't been bumped in a while through comments, so it's very unlikely you randomly came across this. You knew specifically what to look for, learn to tell better lies next time.
Anonymous67(62): (52) *sigh* I did actually come randomly here. I read Nightweavers 2nd comment and thought what was this? I saw a horses pussy and tried to forget it by reading the comments. And here we are. Do I have to tell you my nationality or name before you believe me?
But it doesn't matter. What matters is that I forgive you for accusing me as a liar. And I apologoze.
G_Goobington_the_2nd: @Anonymous: So you concede that it was made to be enjoyed by all ages. Good. Granted it's marketed primarily at children, and while the adult references won't go above a G rating, they're nevertheless included as something only adults would get. (Something you should really address instead of just ignoring. I won't hold my breath.)
"I guess you're going to now claim it's also created for all ages because of some almost meaningless references that will always stay within a rated E or G frame."
I'd hardly consider the references meaningless, especially since their very presence directly challenges your argument. So yes, I am going to claim that it's created for all ages because it contains adult references.
Here's a tip for debating: If you can predict the next point your opponent is going to make, it's best to preemptively refute it, rather than try to downplay its significance.
Anonymous73: You know, this is much better then watching the presidential debates. Whenever i hear somebody talking about the debates, i usually point them to My Little Pony pictures on Rule 34 ahaha, they usually come back telling me that this shit is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better then the tv debates... Because honestly, it is, this is more entertaining then watching a friggin baby fall from a tree and hitting every brach on the way down while robin williams does a comedy act under the same tree XD ahahahahahahahaha..... Yes i do have a sick mind and honestly.... I know a couple of Brons and they aren't bad but i would never watch MLP.... I'm sorry but i got to side with Anon 2, what he says, all the education coming from him makes me masturbate hard... No you know what, this whole damn thing makes me masturbate hard... WHAT NOW BITCHES HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Anonymous74: @Anonymous: Ignoring their personality, yea.
Also, all humans are the same if you ignore personality, and they dont even have different color schemes (or at least less varied ones).
Anonymous78: * Shamelessly faps to cartoon horse's but lose's all mental stability along with sensibility when faced with such an " anomaly " * I find this personally to be endearing.

Here's a tip for debating: If you can predict the next point your opponent is going to make, it's best to preemptively refute it, rather than try to downplay its significance.
