Dete: THIS IS NOW "HOW YOU BECOME A BRONY THREAD".
For me: My friend downloaded whole season on my PC and ordered me to watch it after hours of disagreement. After 1 episode I wanted to see the next one and...
Anonymous2(1): Well. Around November last year I figured that since I already deliberately learned so much about the series and the main cast after the whole year of looking at all the fanart here and other sites I might as well give it a try. And from there my reaction was like one of those Godhand Edit comics (look it up if you haven't seen any).
bAv-R34: A year ago, back in February, I was just browsing /gif/ when I see an MLP thread lodged in between a titties thread and a laugh/lose thread. I looked in, and there was a few .gifs of ponies. I didn't think much of it.
I later went to /b/ and I saw the same thing, this time I took a closer look at it.
I lurked the entire thread and someanon told another anon that the show is MLP: FiM.
So I then went on youtube and I searched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I saw that there was close to 14/15 episodes out, and I found the first episode and started watching.
Or at least, I tried to.
I saw the storybook opening and thought it was too cheezy. So I just skipped to a random episode, I think it was Dragonshy.
I was barely twenty seconds in after the intro, and I was lost as fuck and really fucking confused, I had no fucking clue who is who, and what was going on.
So I went back to the first episode and I pretty much forced myself to watch it. It was so fucking girly and cheezy, yet I still watched it and I somehow had a smile on my face at the same time.
I kept on watching the episodes back-to-back in secret (which was fairly hard due to my bro and my parents always fucking walking in) and it wasn't until my bro caught me watching Swarm of the Century and I KINDA got him hooked as well, that I figured out that I actually LOVED the show.
It was fucking amazing. I always watched cartoons as a kid and I've been working on my own shitty little animations as well. In the recent years with the rise of several shitty shows, this was like a goddamn beacon of hope.
Later, I've always been on Equestria Daily reading EVERY story I could come across, and my buddy sees like 70 tabs on my goddamn browser and he sees that it's ALL pony. He laughs at me for looking at poni, (which I was visibly embarrassed about) and then somehow, a week later, he's a bigger fucking brony than I am. He even convinced me to go to the nearest toy store and get a mini-Pinkie figure and then later a brushie-Fluttershy.
It's now a full year later and he has almost all of the mini-ponies and an Applejack blob plush, as well as a Lunar Republic poster and a fuckton of pony music remixes. Meanwhile all I have is a mini-Rainbow Dash, the brushie-Fluttershy, and two pony buttons.
Aaaaaaaand that is my cool story, bros.
Faptacular: No big, "I'm not watching that girly shit" attitude from me.
With the exception of Thundercats I tended to watch the girl cartoons more as a kid. Watched the original show back in the day (Had a prepubescent mega-boner for Megan) even had the movie on VHS for the longest time and occasionally pulled it out to watch until I gave it to my cousin when her daughter was born.
Anyway got home from work one morning and came across FiM in the TV listing on the hub and figured ah what the hell, nostalgia away.
Sat though a so-sweet-it-makes-my-teeth-ache half an episode of Strawberry Shortcake (though I still occasionally watch it if it's on and I got nothing better to do) and steeled myself for more sugar to the face.
A Dog and Pony show. First run.
Holy fuck that was actually good! That white pony was snarky as hell without being a bitch! Rarity has since remained my favorite pony.
Set my DVR to catch the show from then on. After Green Isn't Your Color I got on YouTube and watched the other episodes in order and have been religiously coming back for more since.
Could've been around this time last year - Yeah, early april. I dl some episodes (heard about the show somewhere) and watched the first episode. Kinda liked it but thought it was kinda girly and nothing special and meant to watch the other episodes later but forgot about it.
herd a hater complaining about all the ponies some time later so I started watching it again and well.. began to love the show and the characters. Yup, I've been looking at pony-related stuff almost everyday since then. First time a show effected me in that way y'know - I even got some of the figurines. I was very depressed at that time and it may sound cheesy but the show and all the ponystuff made me feel better. That's how I become a brony.
Anonymous6(3): @Anonymous: Anon1 here, when i was last depressed, i got over it by beating my childhood bully so severely that i blinded him in one eye, true story, spent a night in jail
Anonymous12: I saw a 3D pinkie pie in some random Gmod video, Went to watch the first episode, Fluttershy exploded my heart twice. Haven't touched my Xbox since.
Anonymous15(1): @Anonymous: This guy speaks truth. Ever since I got into the series I haven't once opened my furry folder. I'll probably delete it eventually, if anything MLP defurried me.
Ohlook: @ThunderFap: How stupid are you? some people fap to both, most of both fandom only fap to one or the other, alot of both sides fans hate the other, Bronies =/=Furfags you shitstain
Ohlook: @Gomenasai: A12 here, i wouldn't say it defurried me, i come to this site to look at images of characters i want to see getting fucked, if i ever come across a furry i want to see getting fucked again, i'm sure i'll look them up here, i also wouldn't call myself a brony tbh, i dont fap to a pic just cuz it's a pony, i'm after the characters, be they pony, furry, anime etc etc.
anyway this is my Cool story bros
Anonymous19: how I got to be a brony is that every now and then, tf2 pony sprays pop up in servers and had no idea why or where they were related to but one of my steam friends was a brony himself. He got me into watching the show from that point on and I do thank him for that. If I never knew how good the show was, who knew how my life would of been like now
The first panel is pretty much me 5 months ago.
