Hattori_hanzo: Barbara Gordon: James I have to tell you something...
James Gordon: Not now Batgirl, we have no time my daughter could be home any minute!
Anonymous5(4): In the cartoon as well as the comics Gordon is the biological and the real father since he raised her too. And in both he is white. Lets not get too technical unless you can back it up with facts. In both the cartoon and the comic, Commissioner Gordon introduces Bruce Wayne(Batman) to his daughter Barbara Gordon who later becomes the first batgirl.
Anonymous6: Biological and real father? That's fucking redundant unless you dont know what biological means. It means his sperm helped to conceive her. Making him the real dad. Realdad IS biologicaldad. Stupid cunts
appealus: @Anonymous: I can back it up with facts pretty easily. In the cartoon he's her Bio-Dad and in the comic he's not. Sorry if that's too complicated.
Anonymous8(4): Anon6 - not all biological parents are the real parents. Real parents are the ones that raised you. I know for I am adoptive. I can tell you that the male that helped concieve me is not my father at all.
Thad: @appealus: Batman nerd speaking, and you're wrong. I recall reading the issue in which Batgirl was introduced, the Mothman issue. In it, she was dressing as "Batgirl" (who at the time didn't exist) and after the ordeal batgirl became a reality.
appealus: From Wikipedia: "The conclusion of Crisis on Infinite Earths changed DC Universe continuity in many ways. Following the reboot, Barbara Gordon is born to Roger and Thelma Gordon, and she is Jim Gordon's niece/adopted daughter in current canon."
You're right about the original, but I follow Canon put to the page by the writers.
