Anonymous3: Unoriginal? You mean like a hedgehog that runs really fast is called Sonic, or a fistfighting Echidna is called Knuckles, or a twin tailed fox is called Tails?
Anonymous10(3): (A3 here) A7, not defending a fan character, defending the idea that things with an unoriginal name (or nickname, thank you for the corrections A4 and A5) don't get a free pass because they are famous. They get to be made fun of just as much.
And by the way, if this fan character can seem taller, have a different hairstyle, larger bust, different shades of make-up and different clothes, but still 'looks like Rogue' what does that mean about Shadow, who is simply a different color, has slightly more pimped out sneakers and a different hairstyle, but otherwise looks pretty much physical indentical to Sonic, from his physique to his pointy nose?
Anonymous11(2): A3/A10, Shadow is a recolor as well. Just like fuckyou said, many people have been calling him a "fanchar level recolor" for years. What's your point? I don't see how bringing up a recolor is suppose to make me change my opinion about the Rouge ripoff here.
MetalixK: Gentlemen please, we have the best kind of fancharacter here. A hot, busty female lezzing it up with the hottest established character in the series, without the creator droning on and on about their waifu.
She's not an original character by ANY means, but I don't think that really matters here.
Anonymous12: (A3/A10 here) I agree with MetalixK so I'll try keep this short.
I'm not trying to change your opinion (A2?/A7/A11), I'm simply stating simple observations. You said that the name was unoriginal, I pointed out that the names of plenty of Sonic characters are not especially inspired. You pointed out the character design was unoriginal, I point out there are characters that are little more than slightly changes physical doubles of earlier characters.
My only concern is that you seem to have a double-standard, that fans are not allowed to do 'unoriginal' art and have it shared with the world while companies are in the free and clear. If one wanted to have that opinion, I don't think Rule 34 is the place to wave it like a flag.
On a very insignificant note, the fact I was labeled an 'idiot' when I've simply tried to apply logic to the situation did not help your case of trying to prove your point. Simple debate rule, attack the arguement, not the person.
