Anonymous1: because as shown in like the 3rd or 4th ep she as well as her master can walk in daylight, they're true vampires so it doesn't kill them they just despise it.

In that, Dracula was able to walk around during the day, but he was barely (if even) stronger than a human under the sun. It is at least implied, however, that new vampires (like Lucy Westenra) would not survive direct sunlight for long.
It appears that Seras took to vampirism quite strongly; after she fed on blood, finally, she no longer burned.
So instead of smoldering, she's just smoldering HOT. :P
