Anonymous2: Why is Virizion always portrayed as female when it's based off Aramis, one of the three musketeers?

dread_liss: @anony 2
because virizion is genderless and can you use as male or female..and virizion appers more likely to be female

NickietheWolf: @dread_liss: very true. i've seen pics of groudon one of the most masculine and badass looking Porkyman portrayed as female many times. even mewtwo, who was voiced as a male in all anime appearances is not free from the clutches of rule #63

Anonymous3: @NickietheWolf: They are not rule 63#... neither are they actually genderless in a biological sense

They are genderless because they are extinct and also their genders have never been revealed. Groudon and Kyogre both have male and females, but due to being the last of their kinds you can't tell which gender those individuals are.

Some legendaries are genderless technically, because there has only ever been 1. Like Arceus who is pretty much God.

But then again according to the Legends he came from an egg that fell out of a vortex, so maybe he has parents and ergo all Porkyman do have genders.
