It takes less skill than traditional art, yes, but that just means it's a different medium, similar to how photography is easier than painting. Some artists use ai as a starting point and edit the image using more traditional techniques, which takes a lot of skill and results in a wonderful mix of style that I think is super interesting. Should these artists have a name for themselves? Absolutely. But should everyone who types "vanessa with fat tits" into a text box be considered an artist and make money off of the output? Probably not.

Also it looks fucking weird most of the time. But turning nuanced conversations into arguments doesn't help us understand where the other people are coming from.

Using AI as a starting point for making porn while editing the pic is acceptable, it definitely takes some skill to retouch them, but I struggle to imagine these people deciding to learn from it and beginning to draw their own stuff. So I don't think they deserve to have a name for that unless they do a spectacular job. Unfortunately, most AI """"artists"""" like I bet the fuckboy above just prompt whatever, try to scam people out of money via Patreon and then desperately claim they put actual effort into it.
