ssjseifer: To be fair, mexican is as valid a language as spanish. It's a variant enough to be considered separate. If you speak american, go to England and tell someone you speak english and they may just smack you in the face for the insult to the english language. I am American and speak american, a New Jersey dialect specifically, though I write in english.
