At least with Jayce you could have had some room to argue that before Arcane most people just assumed he was white (I could have sworn his base splash had blue eyes but idk anymore) but when it's Mel who's only had the one appearance and they made it incredibly clear that she's black... Wyd, ezi. Couldn't even give her afro textured hair since they probably don't know how to draw it properly.
