They brought up the events of Devil May Cry 2 in the DMC timeline recap in Devil May cry 5 & they showed what happened after Dante got out of hell in Devil May Cry 2 and they had Dante & Lucia meet up again during the fight with Balrog in Devil May Cry 5 Before the Nightmare

Anonymous²⁽¹⁾: @RedDusk369: Well, you got me there on that prequel novel, but the recap in 5 is honestly barely worth mentioning. It lasted less than 10 seconds and didn’t address a single thing that happened in the entire game outside of an extremely vague line.
