Anonymous1: Goro never seems to get the respect he deserves for being one of the most easily recognizable characters of this series. You know, Mortal Kombat? The game with the ninjas, the guy with the hat and the big four-armed dude? Probably the bar by which other huge boss characters are made and compared but never fully measure up to like Kintaro, Moloch or Motaro. But they use this man like a jobbing chump henchman who’s just there to put over future no-talents like Cole or Kotal. But mistreatment and mishandling of characters is kind of what they’re good at I suppose.
TheObscureOne: @Anonymous: Ikr? they treated the prince of the shokan so dirty nowadays. I was pissed that Cole defeated him with a literal plot armor, he won 9 consecutive tournaments for crying out loud how the hell did an average mma fighter defeated him? Hell i bet even freaking Art Lean from the first movie could defeat pre Arcana Cole. But for Kotal bear in mind that comic and game Kotal are totally different, the comic Kotal is a legit badass while the game one is a huge incompetent loser and he got buried deeper than Booker-T by Triple H.
Anonymous2(1): @TheObscureOne: After Hsu Hao, I thought the days of introducing a character and immediately making every attempt to bury them were over. Still, I appreciate that they’re willing to destroy their own character that they made rather than them going back to a fan favourite made in the past and ruining them instead. I’ll admit though that Kotal showed some promise at the start. I also thought Kollector was potentially a great addition. But that was before I saw him in story mode or knew anything about him and could just speculate on what he was or what role he’d play.
