ugnaughtsden: I resisted making this picture. I try to stay out of anything that is considered politics in my art. But I got a request for Twi'leks and pride. At first, I felt awful about the response here. But now, any time my homosexual-leaning works are down-voted on paheal, I see it as the knee-jerk reaction of immature homophobes and not an actual response to the quality of my artwork. So, in a way, I thank the immature homophobes for making me less self-conscious about my art — I feel less as though I did poorly and more that many people are casual bigots.
That said, I think paheal could benefit from a sort of LGBT tag that people could filter for. Most of us are mature enough to skip over things we do not like, but some would benefit from a base-level tag to filter.
