d-feather: @Anonymous: Japanese artists tend to do that with their porn. Same for non-Japanese people posting on Pixiv. I've seen some artists not bother with it, some others start doing it at some point, and some doing it no matter what...although there are a few examples where some people did "censor" their stuff, then stopped. And probably started again.
Deskjet23: @Anonymous: Law. Article 175 of the Japanese Penal Code states that all depictions of "obscenity", whatever that means, must be censored. It's been like that since the early 1900s I believe, and no one has ever bothered to change it. You'd think people would just ignore that law into obscurity, but the government/police actually still enforces it to this day, hence all those pixels/bars in the Japanese smut.
HiddenD: @Decanter: Honestly as a Baltimore resident I'm surprised that no one told those idiots about the shallows in the Bay. The Ever Forward could have literally radioed any nearby ship or even the port and they would have gave them the right heading to use.
