Anonymous13: The comic is what actually makes it canon. Due to the movie coming out and shifting it to Gwen and Miles forming a romantic bond, the writer of the Spider Gwen/Ghost Spider comic line said she would not pursue the relationship when asked. She said she didn’t want to comic to follow the movie as it would make it predictable and boring which in turn would kill sales more. She also said when asked if they would add the ballerina shoes that it would be difficult to incorporate something that hasn’t been in there at all. The movie doesn’t reflect the comic in which the comic overrides the movie in what is canon. In reality Gwen starts to date Harry Osborn but it’s up in the air now since she is an outlaw now and that she realized she can’t have relationships because of everything that has happend. In the comic Gwen is 19 and Miles is 16 which didn’t seem right at all. I am all for the relationship but I am conflicted too because Gwen was originally part of Peters past (not to mention she’s still coping with the loss of her Peter. Yes Miles could be a fit for her but the age is what makes me uncomfortable. If that wasn’t the case then by all means. As of right now comic wise, she’s single and alone due to complications.
