janusmaxwell: Got bored, randomly found a gif on Pixiv. Thought about downloading so I could decensor it for shits and giggles, but Pixiv's system is such a BITCH to work with, because the full gif was actually a shitload of JPGs in one ZIP file and I've gotta reassemble the whole thing myself.

This ain't the whole gif, this is just what I've reassembled so far since I navigated the cluster-fuck of Pixiv's programming to get the source gif and started putting it all together. Which was about...an hour and a half for the former, fifteen minutes for the latter.

imacarl: @janusmaxwell

iirc theres a handful of extensions that allow you to save the collage of images as a gif or webm

Anonymous1: @janusmaxwell: Yeah. Ugoira is such an unnecessary mess. There are websites who can convert those pixiv animations to either normal gifs or webm files by just putting the pixiv link on it, so they could save you a lot of time. The worse thing is that in the conversion, some quality can be loss somehow and you end having a crappy version of the original one. I prefer the artist be the one who give the means to get the original animation in his unadultered quality, but they aren't always this caritative.
