In some ways, the follow-up pic of Spectra torturing/dominating Danny and his classmates could be seen as a continuation to this pic, establishing that Spectra indeed succeeded.
Anyway, that's the in-universe explanation. As for why I chose to portray him in that manner, it's purposely going against the usual thing in these kind of images where the guy (who is supposed to be the viewer's stand-in) is like "I can't believe I'm this lucky, holy shit" to keep it more authentic to the show. This is supposed to happen sometime in Season 2 (but after 'Doctor's Disorders') where Danny is somewhat less reckless and knows what the stakes are, so I'd like to think that if the show itself actually contained X-rated scenery, this is how it would be played out while still keeping it plot-driven. Spectra is essentially raping Danny here, so it's definitely not something he'd enjoy from a psychological perspective even if it feels good on his cock. And yes, I know this sounds extremely autistic, but I honestly thought it was fun to play around with the presentation.
Also, there's a mistake in the pic that I noticed way too late: Spectra's left foot is literally placed on air. It was supposed to be on the hospital bed tray originally, but as I was cleaning the sketch and inking it, I noticed a perspective problem on the tray and fixed it but forgot to adjust the foot. Technically it shouldn't matter, since she's a ghost but it's obviously a fuck-up on my part.
