traffik: Strongly disagree with the report. The two forms of Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz are so visually disparate. There ought to be a way to look up pics for one of them without getting pics of the other.
traffik: You can always use both tags in conjunction to get all the pics of her in either form. But once those tags are merged, there's no way to separate one from the other.
I may not be an expert after seeing zero episodes of the show so it could be me, but those look like two very different characters. Why do the tags need to be merged?
Farfegnugen: @Anonymous: No, those are two different characters too. One is a ninja, the other is a princess.
Hell, Ranma 1/2 has female Ranma and male Ranma. The person themselves doesn't change, same personality and everything, it's just one has tits and the other doesn't. Still two different characters in their own right.
datnonymous: I could make it so every Pink_Diamond pic is also tagged as Rose_Quartz (in addition). Yay or Nay? It does cause some trouble by being a spoiler though.
Farfegnugen: @Anonymous: Then look at the nice image don't worry about us.
@datnonymous: I don't know, it'll confuse someone like me that'll see one character but two people tagged.
traffik: @Qt: Technically yes, but different forms that are so different that it's completely possible for a person to be interested in one of them and completely uninterested in the other. I still think they should stay two separate tags, and anyone who wants to get both forms can just run a search on both tags. Really simple.
Farfegnugen: @Qt: Again, look at the images in the links I proved above. Do they look the same character? Now hold that that, "No, but...", they don't look alike. By your logic, all Gogeta tags should be Vegito or visa versa. Both are Goku and Vegeta, right, even though the method they fused and the look is different between the two forms.
Otaku_H: @Farfegnugen: Yeah, there's nothing there about doing an X or Y search. And searches, date searches, id searches, but no or search. Are you sure you've read the thing and more importantly actually know what is being asked?
traffik: Yeah, I guess I misspoke-- doing a search on both terms at once would only bring up pics that had both forms in it, which wouldn't be many. You'd have two do two separate searches. But tbh I don't see why that would be a big deal for anyone.
Farfegnugen: @Otaku_H: By X and/or Y search, you are saying "I'm looking Porkyman without/with Digimon in it." right? Because from my understanding is, he's looking to do "Porkyman -Digimon" or "Porkyman Digimon". If true, that was in the FAQ.
CaptainBoomer: @traffik: True enough, not a big deal. It would be convenient, however, to make a bookmark with the dozen or so more uncommon tags I follow and have them all show up in one search. C'est la vie.
@Farfegnugen: Yeah, no. Your understanding is wrong. Brush up on your reading comprehension, skippy - I was perfectly clear. Particularly if you're planning to act smug and condescending.

Yeah, don't hold your breath. I couldn't spend as much time here as I do if I didn't love this site, but it's in the dark ages in a lot of ways. I mean, we don't even have access to our own sent PMs. I don't see a revamp of the search system to include "or" searches happening anytime soon.
Qt: @Farfegnugen: My comment wasn't intended to be rude. I do agree with you, they do look completely different, I was just letting you know that the whole discussion about the tags is because they are the same character. I wasn't trying to justify the merging of the tags, I'm actually against it, I was just saying that they are the same character even though they don't look alike. Sorry for trying to fill you in on what the issue is.

Porkyman AND Digimon (Porkyman Digimon)
Porkyman NOT Digimon (Porkyman -Digimon)
Porkyman OR Digimon (There's no OR, might as do a search seperate)
