Usually it doesn't, except with these elves. Blood Elves used to be High Elves, but they succumbed to Fel Magic to feed their addiction. The "Blue eyed Blood Elves" that are seen in the game are High Elves, not Blood Elves.
Anonymous7(3): This is true, except there are blood elves who have blue eyes. THe majority of blood elves never willingly siphoned fel magic, they just got the green eyes being near fel energy. Some Elves are still patriots and rejoined the blood elves, not every blue eyed elf is a high elf.
caballerodelamuerte: High Elves and Blood Elves are identical. Kael'thas renamed his people blood elves to honor their fallen comrades or some shit after the Scourge destroyed the Sunwell. It has nothing to do with what kind of magic they feed on.
