(The same is true of breasts for that matter.) Given that, and the additional potential for shame and/or anxiety that comes with being trans (and knowing that her partner knows she's trans), I think that Claire's behavior in that strip is entirely plausible even if she has a neo-vulva that is completely indistinguishable on visual inspection from a standard-issue one. And the same is true of Marten's response.
I think it's a more *likely* interaction if she is pre-op/non-op, but I don't think it's sufficient evidence to assume that.

He could also have re-evaluated the practical implications of his preferences in light of his relationship with someone who doesn't have a vagina; it's easy to go from "anal is grosser and less desirable than vaginal" to "anal is gross and I would never do it" when vaginal is always an option. Or they could not be having anal sex at all, even if Claire has a penis; I haven't seen numbers for straight man--trans woman relationships specifically, but there's definitely a sizeable minority of gay male couples who consistently stick to oral.

I think it's a more *likely* interaction if she is pre-op/non-op, but I don't think it's sufficient evidence to assume that.
