Decanter: @Anonymous: Even if that's correct - which isn't guaranteed, what with the state of graphics in OoT and the license you can take with anatomy in virtual worlds - why only "in Japan"?
Farfegnugen: Half of the "official sources" says Sheikh is a girl and other says guy. I would think in the 20 some years someone needs to ask Miyamoto or Tezuka about this dumb thing.
Not 63 if a male (for obiovus reasons), but if girl, not 63 since the artist said Sheikh, this one anyway, was a girl. Can't see tits to prove it either way.
Anonymous3(2): To avoid trans gender contraversy amurika made sheik into a female. She is zeldas male persona used to hide from ganon while he search hyrule. He went after the girls.
Farfegnugen: @Anonymous: Yeah, I think the manga had Impa put a seal Zelda's mind until all but one of the sagas (since Zelda was the last one) was found. She basically was trained as guy for 10 years to help Link in his quest.
Nintendo's stance, as far Bill Trinen goes, Sheikh is a lady since she was only in disguise. Like Decanter said, you can't base what she was in the original game since everything was blocky anyway. I've known enough ladies that hit gym hard enough to say you can base gender on just how built they are.
Anonymous4(2): In some cases Bill trinen is a worker at Nintendo but he is merely only a marketer he isn't the creator. He is a American marketer the country that is strict on censorship and child safety and what not. I'd pick what Japan the creators say about sheik. He is preferred to be a male with pronouns and titles.
But wow hyrule warriors kinda added on to the gender mess with the complete feminized shiek
Anonymous5: I like male Sheik more because nostalgy of Ocarina of Time. When I was a child and played it first times, and didn't know any english, I thought that Sheik was hiding Zelda and brought her back, and just left (at the end before Ganon's castle). I like the theory that she did some gender swap magic or something when she disquised herself. Don't really like feminized Sheik for this reason. Oh well. I like the animation, tho.
