AnonV3: @Smudge_Proof: Pretty sure the color alone - or do you mean the source? I think 'On A Cross and an Arrow' was the first instance I ever read of R34 ponies with distinct names. And synonyms of 'flutter' and 'shy' just didn't have a boyish enough sound I guess so the author went with color/rhyme. Flutter = butter = Butterscotch.
