If you don't do these things, and then you fuck up, people have the right to call you out on it, because you're the one who's wrong. And "I don't understand how it's done" is no defense, because every single page of thumbnails on this site that you've been on for almost a year-and-a-half says "First time uploading? Please read the rules and FAQ first!" There's no way you've never seen it. That's there to prevent exactly this situation.
Not to mention that even if you've never posted before, you've seen others do it. You must know that people don't put shit like 'I DON'T OWN THIS' in the tags. You can't put that in the tags and then claim "I tagged this the same as how the original was tagged". No, you didn't. If you did, this conversation wouldn't even be taking place.

Freezer: @rainbowdash23: The "site" didn't delete anything. Someone replaced them with proper tags. Check the "view tag history" button to your left and you can see the original tags in all their glory. You can even revert to those tags. But I wouldn't recommend that.
