Voslar: You took a deep breath of anticipation. The door was unassuming enough - one you'd walked through a hundred times before - but now, you couldn't seem to muster the courage to knock. The entire world felt hushed, as though waiting right alongside with you.
To your side, Fluttershy smiled as reassuringly as she could, given her own misgivings. She was terrified of this, probably even more than you were, but there was no way she would let you face it alone. Since the merging of the worlds she had been your almost constant companion, encouraging and supporting you as much as you had her. It hadn't taken long for an attraction to form, even despite your obvious differences, and not too long after that the two of you had fallen in love. Figuring out how the two of you really worked as a couple hadn't been easy, but it was an experience you wouldn't trade for the world.
But this... this would be your greatest challenge yet.
"Umm... if it really bothers you that much, we can always come back and try again later." Fluttershy nuzzles your hand, forcing it up onto her head, and you stroke her mane almost reflexively. Your eyes meet her own beautiful, compassionate blues, and your nervousness briefly vanishes. Smiling, you kneel down briefly and give her a quick kiss on the lips before straightening once more. When you speak, your decisiveness has returned.
"No. We've put this off too long already. We'll do it now." Before have any time to second-guess yourself, you raise your hand and give three quick raps on the door.
As it swings open, a thrill of terror seizes you, but you force a wide smile onto your face. Courage now, Anon. Courage for her. In the short year you'd known her, you and this remarkable pony had tamed a God of Chaos, fought off a marauding dragon, and even reformed a changeling spy. You'd attended Princess Luna's Night Court, and even helped mediate a joint diplomatic session with the Zebra and Buffalo clans. There was nothing you couldn't do when you were together, you told yourself. You could do this. You could DO this!
You gulped heavily through a suddenly-dry throat, your conviction trembling in the face of your greatest challenge yet. The words tumbled from your mouth before you can think to moderate them.

"Hi Mom, hi Dad! I'd like you to meet my fiance!"
