Anonymous³: @rikubattle: Love how you say "Mew is a glitch" yet accept Mew in the count of 151. There was a Nintendo Power event for those in the US that had to send in their cartridge to get a Mew. Aside of that, having certain characters in the OT's name in certain spots would produce a Mew doing the 6th item glitch, or through a cheat device.

The fact the Mew has a slot as a Porkyman in the ROM (and creator copyrighted the name upon game release) is proof that Mew is NOT a glitch.

Anonymous⁴: of course it's not a glitch. The way you obtain it is a glitch. Mew was in the code, but wasn't spottable in game. The only legit way to get it was to do as anon 3 said. The "glitch" everyone speaks of can allows every Porkyman to be summoned in next battle, like bulbasaur, charmander and squirtle. You just had to make different combinations of steps ingame.
