Don't you tards remember "Apple family reunion"? Granny smith said the last reunion was 100 moons ago. The first ep had that reunion. That means from s1ep1 to s3epwhatever it was it had been 80 or so years (I forget how long a "moon" is). None of the characters aged with in that that 80 years time. Also twilights flash back had Lyra and some other background ponies when she was a filly as such most if not all ponies live like 100s if not 1000s of years before they actually die. Which also explain why both the princess are so old.
