Personally I don't think it's a choice, nor do I think it is any less natural than heterosexuality, even if it isn't as common. No, homosexual relationships do not pass on genes, but neither do all heterosexual relationships. I don't think the laws of nature can be directly applied to human relationships. But that's just my opinion.
