You do realize that in the actual story, Dave, Jade, John, and Rose were all at one point or another confirmed to be white, and that Hussie fed idiot fans the whole "abstraction" bit because they wouldn't shut the fuck up about him being a racist for not meeting their obligatory diversity quota?
Hell, he made a JOKE about that with the "CAUCASIAN!" bit, and the less intellectually gifted parts of the fandom went bat shit on him for being an "asshole".

He may hate his more vocal fans (constantly fucking with them in the story, making ships just so he can destroy them and hear the fans lament, mocking them in ways that they don't notice because they tend to be kind of slow), and he may be letting some big-mouthed teen girls with daddy issues dictate how he handles his own fucking comic, but if he can wring some money out of stupid people, all the power to him.
