Flutters is only slightly more present in S3 than Rarity, who didn't get a single episode.
Spike, on the other hand, got more episodes than any pony of the main cast and got writeraped badly in each.

The episodes I had problems with were that Wonderbolts episode with Lightning Dust, mainly because PINKIE PIE WAS SO FUCKING CLINGY AND IRRITATING AAAAAAAAAAAH
Also Spike at your Service and the Apple Family Reunion were the only episodes in S3 that I just stopped watching halfway. Spike got annoying real fast in the former, and Applejack's spaghetti dropping in the latter was just unbearable.
Ok, the finale was rushed but really, they already fucking made alicorns the 'level up' form of ponies with Cadence, might as well milk those toy molds. Twilight was the best choice, really.
Wonderbolts Academy, I'm with you - but really, that entire thing is some kinda two bit hack faux-military ... sport group so fuck it.
I'ma disagree with you and Apple Family Reunion. YES, AJ was OOC like a BAWS and the episode itself was just kinda dumb but it did do some worldbuilding with the extended Apple family that was glossed over in the first episode ever. So sure, it was kinda fail - but it did help.
Oh, and Spike fails forever so fuck 'Spike at Your Shit Fuck Cunt Fucking Fail Babyass Fuck Shit.'
Anonymous4(1): Twilight required a unique mold. She isn't your average long-legs alicorn, she's practically all the same as before but with wings and regal trinkets. Yet her wings aren't like pegasus wings, no. They couldn't just take a unicorn head and slap it on a pegasus body, like they did with the first Woona toys. They had to make her a special snowlake mold that no other character can use.
Speaking of toys, this year's Comic Con pony exclusive kind of sucks. Last year it was that brushable Derpy (officially unnamed), this year it's Vinyl Scratch with solid piece mane and tail, covered in some cheap glitter and perforated for no reason shades. None of my money.
