Thumper: (I have no experience with gmod-type image making), but generally an animation is made of a series of slightly different poses, stacked into a gif-making program like Animation Shop

Thumper: @struss: yeah, it generally does. But if you get the posing just right, you can sometimes get a good result with less than 10 frames. It depends on the range of motion involved, like 'a picture is worth a thousand words' kind of thing.
