Anonymous5: Nothing special, but it's probably as good as a Spike episode can get. I enjoyed the dynamic of it and numerous cameos of uncommon background characters, as well as a few returning ones from S2.
Although the antics with the pets sometimes seemed forced it was nice to see them all there together having lots of screen time.
Roflcakes: Yeah, lots of cool background stuff in this ep. CherriMac confirmed? Also, those little stylized red background shots of Spike saying "Angel!" whenever he started acting out were pretty great.
Spike was an awful tool this episode though... I guess it was supposed to be his latent dragon greed causing him to act like that, but even at the end when he apologized to all the pets for being a selfish cunt, he still managed to get away with it and everyone was none the wiser. Also, since when were gems accepted currency? It seemed like every pony had some gemstones lying around, and judging by how common they seem to be in certain areas of Equestria I don't understand why Spike didn't just go fuckin' dig up some more! (like he's done in the past.) Seems like an easier solution to the problem than just "FUCK IT, IM GONNA EXTORT THE GEMS FROM MY FRIENDS!"
fl0wenol: I was getting the impression that the gems are used for bartering too, but the thing that bugged the economist in me was how something he could so casually eat was also worth a fucking industrial hair drier. What a waste!
Also, I'm liking Tag-a-Long's little deep-throating merit badge. That's some pretty good graphic design there, Krystil. Bitch should make logos or something.
Anonymous7: @Roflcakes: he had rarity do her spell or whatever before when he dug up the gems.
As for the currency thing yeah that bothers me also. That would mean that Rarity was fucking rich as fuck in the dimond dog ep. It also means that when she makes clothes with gems and then sells them would be redundant because it is like selling money.@fl0wenol: with the amount of gems spike has ate plus can eat it is just mind boggling that they would then let him eat them. He ate enough "money" to buy a small island atleast through out the series.
Faptacular: Really liked most of the pet stuff. I say most because I've gone on record that I really don't care for Angel. The little prick. Especially enjoyed RD's "Mother Henning" over Tank. It was adorable.
I'm gonna have to pay more attention to some of the BG stuff when I re-watch it later. I missed a lot of what some of you mentioned.
Anyway my usual complaint for a Spike episode. He's irritatingly OoC. And pretty much always a dick.
Nuxersopus: So, you can buy an industrial sized hair drier with one little red gemstone, but you get a giant green gem for caring for a rabbit for one day?
Weird.

Sorry, I got distracted.
I liked this one a lot, mostly because I love Tank, Opal and Winona.
Although the antics with the pets sometimes seemed forced it was nice to see them all there together having lots of screen time.
