There's something ... frightening... about people who turn their liking of a show (albeit a great one) into some sort of quasi-religious cult.
If, then, they are preaching about "love and tolerance" but hate everyone who either 1) doesnt like MLP or 2)likes MLP but is a clopper or 3) likes MLP in a different way than themselves.... Well that just seals the deal.

Afterwards, /mlp/ was created, and the majority of bronies migrated over. Meanwhile, other brony sites like Ponychan popped up, but everything there was infested with autism. The /mlp/ bronies, being from 4chan, decided that they must keep out the autists from Ponychan by flooding their own board with gore and porn. Unfortunately, Ponychan bronies became more popular due to how vocal they are, while /mlp/ were the sane people that do not bring things up until it is necessary.
That is why /mlp/ is a bunch of hardasses who would gladly ruin lives while Ponychan is the definition of bronies.
That and the fact that /mlp/ started off in the blackest place in the internet.
