Anonymous1: She is from the comic book. So far the comic is in continuity according to the show creators but it doesn’t look like they are going to do anything that would directly interfere with the show. So there wouldn't be reason why it couldn't be in continuity.
As far as I know the only characters not really in continuity are some of the gender swap characters that only exist as sketches done by the show’s character designers but have been accepted by the community. They may get changed entirely before they get to appear in the show.
