Anonymous2: As soon as Jeph runs out of ideas for the characters he'll have them start fighting. Then every time after that that he doesn't know what to do, he'll have them fight some more. Eventually they will break up and it will be dramatic--just like every other couple in that comic.
carvin: Uhg. Plenty of couples do just fine. Jeph at least stated that the break up of Marten and Dora was planned from the start of the relationship. Which would make sense. Anywho, this is nearly canon... they haven't had their fun just yet.
Anonymous4: @ChaosWolf: They've all got Twitter/Facebook accounts don't they? I guess Tai's last name is on that.
The Dora-Tai couple just confuses me. Dora being with an obnoxious, pushy kid just doesn't seem right. I've never once got the impression that anybody, Martin included, actually wants Tai around so I was half expecting Dora to shoot her down hard with a shocking 'you're my ex's co-worker, you've done nothing but sleaze at me since we met even though I was in a serious relationship, you're immature and needy, sorry, but it's just not going to happen'.
Anonymous5: Anon2's got it right. Does anyone actually think QC writes its characters and their relationships well anymore? I would've been inclined to agree in the earlier days when the focus was more on wit and just hanging out and not the more recent zany sitcom/animu situations the unnecessarily large cast of characters find themselves in

Well, that's good. I'd also settle for Tai being hit by a truck.
