Anonymous6: I don't understand it - Rainbow Dash is female in the series. But she behaves more like a guy all the time (all this "macho" stuff all the time). She even speaks like a guy. Is there some reason for this?
Anonymous7: ^ Rainbow Dash fills in a sporty tomboy character archetype to make the personalities of the main 6 as diverse as possible so all female viewers could relate themselves to at least one of the characters.
Anonymous8: ^She may also be Lesbian. Or Bisexual. Despite the views of many Bronies who are only saying no because their homophobes that, if their favorite pony turned out to be gay, they couldn't stand the show anymore.

The show's creator herself stated that Rainbow Dash's personality has nothing to do with her sexual orientation and at no point they hinted on anything lesbian or gay. Realistically, most of the characters are asexual as they never talk about any love interests. Exceptions are parents of the main characters (naturally), Rarity wishing to meet a noble prince, Spike wanting Rarity, and it appears the upcoming Valentine's Day episode is going to involve Big Mac and Cheerilee romance.
If anything, most bronies seem to be more than willing to ship Rainbow Dash with nearly every female character. And that's perfectly fine, if you want it to be this way your headcanon can be anything as long as it doesn't contradict the actual canon. But as far as the show goes Rainbow Dash has no interest in either sexes.
Anonymous10: Gilda is the only hardcore lesbian. Rainbow Dash went through a phase a long time ago. That's why Gilda and Rainbow Dash are so close. But Rainbow Dash never told her she didn't like her like that anymore. That's why Gilda got so insecure with Pinkie Pie wanting to be around Rainbow Dash.
