Anonymous7: She needs to merge her stun and her dash to gain Amumu's stun(She has .25 longer stun but Amumu has 1 sec shorter CD, Leona deals 380+.7 Amumu deals 320 +1)
Chogath's rupture is better than her ultimate (Same delay, Cho has larger AOE for hard CC, Leona has longer range and +.5sec on Hard CC, but Cho also slows after the 1 sec CC for 60% over 3 secs, Cho deals 305 +1 Leona deals 350+.8, And the Cho has far shorter CD...)
And although not fair to compare her almost identical passive with lux(both Light and deal magic dmg on auto attack...) Lux deals more dmg has longer duration and can activate it herself.
The only comparable shield i can find that is similar is Garen so (Assuming Garen's courage is multiplicative, Both have no items and both are level 18) garens shield gives an additional +27% Physical dmg Reduction and +30% Magical dmg reduction while Leona gains +16% physical dmg reduction and +37% magical dmg reduction(But Leonas shield does Dmg and lasts twice as long with shorter CD)....
Sure picking her you can avoid the stress of picking a better champion above, shes like a jack of all trades master at none with her abilities... But shes unoriginal just a perfect example of Riots laziness and love for the dreaded copy paste technique... Shes underpowered but does not need a buff, she just needs a remake so she will be unique instead of just a boring stitched character....
Anonymous9: Anon7 - I disagree: yes, she's underpowered, but if you sacrifice most of your damage output and go straight up tank with her (i.e. warmog's, FoN, BV, sunfire, etc) she's extremely hard to kill, has great initiation, and all her other abilities have CC: not the best CC, but all the AoE from her shield, dash and ult - I find - make her extremely potent in a teamfight.
Of course, at the end of the day, the build doesn't matter if you can't play her well: I tend to do ok, but she's a difficult champion to get the best out of.
