Anonymous10: While the directions of the stems don't match the conventional scoring style, the time signature is actually a bit less of an issue. True, traditionally the placement of the flat is verboten, but in some modern experimental pieces such oddities occasionally pop up. But if you wanted to be proper, it'd be a sharp, not a flat.
Also, the rhythm actually works, as long as the 2nd and 3rd pairs of notes on the 3rd line were eighths, but with their flags altered for artistic purposes.
But when playing it, the second and 4th line don't sound that great, unless the last pair of notes is B & D-flat. Then it segways well into the 3rd and 1st lines.
