God I hated Jean on the show. She treated both Cyclops and the jock guy like her little playthings. I liked the whole Cyclops-Rogue dynamic and was pleased to see the showrunners supported that as well. I believe one of them even hinted that eventually Jean leaves the team and Rogue and Cyke DO wind up together.
But yeah, even though Jean was an unlikable bitch it was still nice to see something different done with her character. Same with Cyke, I generally don't care for him but I thought he was great in XME. Less boring stiff and more nice-guy rule-player. Fantastic show.
