Anonymous4: Oh fuck you two anons, the comic is better than most "comics" fucking spider man and other shit that gives into the horrible pop gamer trends of Zombies and killing half the powers of the world with some cheap ass magical spell, all because the "writers" can't come up with anything. Fuck you assholes, Scott P is better than half the things out there right now, simply because it's an original idea instead of a tried and true Hollywood rehash. If I see one more zombie film come out I'm gonna rip both your damn heads off for obviously fueling the fires.
Anonymous6(4): (this is anon4) well it's true, idiots who think it's "mediocre" have clearly missed the fucking point, that it's about this guy named Scott who goes from being a bitchy little kid to an adult who learns how to deal with others, and grows up. It's a coming of age story, with some impressive action, and hilarious stupidity. It's 10X better than any of the Jackass "films" and 80% of what's on TV today, which is all college guys coming up with stupidly complex ways of hitting a guy in the nads then going "DUUUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEE!" or the shitty fucking Jersey Shore faux reality nonsense. At least Scott Pilgrim doesn't pretend to be something it isn't, and, as I said, at least it's acting outside the box!
Anonymous9: Both of you assholes can go to hell, and with every further season of Jersey Shore I'm gonna kill any fucktard that agrees with you two. Name one fucking movie over the last 10 years that was HALF as original as Scott Pilgrim, and it can't be a sequel, or have any pop culture references as pop culture is currently for jackoffs.
Anonymous10(4): @anon7: If you simply dismissed Scott Pilgrim as "hipster garbage" then you'll never get along in life, you can't deny something just because it acts a certain way, McDonalds doesn't say "Hey, Emo fag, get out, cause your emo, that makes you money invalid here". Don't be such a pompus ass. Scott Pilgrim has a main character that actually grows (in the comics, not the horrible movie that was just mediocre compared to the comic) who starts off as a whiny self centered bitch (like you) and eventually discovers that the world doesn't revolve around him, and if he wants a serious relationship he has to grow up. Which he does, by getting a job, letting Knives go her own way, and facing up to what he's done in the past. If you haven't read all six comics, then don't post like you know what your talking about, watching a trailer doesn't give your comments the same weight as me, a person who's read all six comics about 8 times, and sleeps with the movie on. (the action was awesome)
Anonymous11: "Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the internet". Wait that's not right.
Personally, I think the comics are just grand. And I think hipsters in general are quite irritating. However, I also love well written zombie stuff.
This picture, whilst not perfect, has its good points. So, in all seriousness, just at least TRY and be something approching civil? Or if not, just go away in silence and do something productive with our own talents?
Anonymous17: "If you simply dismissed Scott Pilgrim as "hipster garbage" then you'll never get along in life."
I'm not the same dude, but are you fucking kidding me? A guy doesn't like some faggot love story bullshit comic so he's doom to fail in life?
"If you haven't read all six comics, then don't post like you know what your talking about, watching a trailer doesn't give your comments the same weight as me, a person who's read all six comics about 8 times, and sleeps with the movie on."
Well then you're obviously unbiased as all hell.
From the wiki page:
"Creator Bryan Lee O'Malley was inspired to create the series and eponymous character of Scott Pilgrim after listening to Canadian band Plumtree's 1998 single 'Scott Pilgrim'"
"Plumtree was a Canadian indie rock band."
I find it hilarious how you idiots think that something that is based off a song by an indie rock band is original and not hipster at all.
And not only that, but seem to think it's directly in competition with everything that you don't like.
I honestly didn't even have a problem with Scott Pilgrim, but after reading some of the wiki page and seeing what hipster faggots it's fans are, I have absolutely no interest in reading it.
If you're going to read a comic go read fucking dragonball, not this.
And I'll leave with a quote from the author himself:
"If I was still doing Scott Pilgrim in ten years, I would be dead inside."
Anonymous19(18): @anon18 Haha, way to take half of his argument out of context, I think what he's trying to say is that you can't just judge the comic on what the fan base is, or how the characters are portrayed, it's like My Little Pony, you don't have to fit the bill to enjoy it, you just have to like it. Something that alot of people on here seem to have an issue with. If you see this and go "that's hipster, which is stupid!" then your being an elitist and that's just as bad.
Anonymous20(18): First anon18, O'Malley was saying if he had to continue to make scott pilgrim for the next 10 years he'd eventually hate it, as would any sane human. As for everyone else, be pleased with yourselves, continuing to use "hipster" in the wrong context until everything is hipster.
