that said, i don't agree with the removal of the disney tag. disney does so many public domain characters that really it's the only way to distinguish in searches, say, a picture of hercules from disney from a picture of hercules from myth, is whether there's a disney tag.
marvel, however, is slightly different in one respect: it denotes a specific universe. marvel characters frequently cross over and trade casts. disney might have a few special crossover movies or games, but by and large everybody stays in their place. with marvel, on any given month, spider-man might appear in x-men or runaways or power pack, with no significant obstacle. and certain characters have, over their histories, been a regular cast member on every team book. and since the rules say to tag by series, you'd have to tag everybody by every series they appear in.
the best compromise is to have a marvel tag, use that, and otherwise tag by the comics they're best known for appearing in, or, if it's a picture specific to one book (she-hulk in her fantastic four uniform), that comic.
the reasoning for the cosplay tag might be to head off arguments of "but it's not 34 of that character, it's 34 of some girl dressing up as that character." so, cosplay tags cover that tagging loophole. incest, however, is just a specific sexual act. it doesn't matter in terms of tagging if people are related or not. so it doesn't need a tag.
