If you have a good healthy willing woman with legs open in front of you and you turn her down simply over the amount of pubic hair you're attraction to women must be questioned. While I do prefer women with their secondary sexual characteristics intact, I'd rather see images that accurately reflect the way the character is when it's known- and in this case, it can be reasonably assumed. Maybe you'd find a Thieves' Landing whore who shaved a single time in order to rid herself of public lice, but it would be justify pubic shaving as reasonable beyond that. Especially when considering Bonnie's character as a rough single country woman of 1911 who isn't obsessed with her appearance.
