Anonymous1: Fun Fact: While the design for Lugia was of Ken Suginmori, his concept was of the screenwriter of the second film, Takeshi Shudo. And, according to his blogposts, he originally thought of Lugia, at the time named "Pokémon X" to be female, the mother of the sea, but was later changed to a male for marketing purposes. So, to summarize, some horny af artist got the man better than the company Shudo worked in. Let that sink in
