If you achieve A-Support with Rhea, and/or play through the "Cindered Shadows" side-story DLC, you'll find out that Sitri [Byleth's mother] isn't Rhea's biological daughter either, but the twelfth "vessel" that the latter created [using an unrelated Nabatean's blood & the Crest-stone of Flames] in an attempt to resurrect Sothis, and that she loved her to the point of treating Sitri like a surrogate "daughter".
But enough of that. This is hot regardless of the truth.
