evilpika: I think they were going for a human form of the floating image in the end boss fight. It's obvious the artist didn't really know anything about the game when they took the commission, but that's not a crime.

Anonymous3: That Giygas' design is by T. Southerland. They used his Giygas design for this image. T. Southerland has played the game multiple times and in fact has been doing a comic about it that is up to Frankystein Mk. II. That said I don't know the history of this image and T. Southerland might have not given permission for his Giygas design to be used.
