MV: The contrast between the extreme detail of the armor and the extreme LACK of detail on Samus's nude body is stark and off-putting to me. It's still a beautiful picture, but there's not much to be done about the lack of detail on Samus's body (except for the addition of clothes which would turn this into not_porn).
Perhaps if her body was shaded, though... I wish I was talented enough to do it.
nagger: MV: I actually like the differences between the way the suit is drawn and the way her body is drawn a lot. It really adds to the contrast between flesh and machine... mechanical shapes vs organic ones, bits and pieces vs one human being. With the upwards flowing hair and the suit opening up it almost looks like she's 'escaping' the confines of the suit, and at the same time she looks fragile and vulnerable without it. It's certainly a lot more than just a sexy picture, IMO.
I really don't think this needs more shading. What little shading there is is purely functional, and adding more detail to it would ruin the effect.
