Anonymous4: @Anon1 Zimmerman has stated in his google groups blog that he had no idea that Mystique was Nightcrawler's mother when he drew this and it was "accidental incest" on his part. He's apparently not very familiar with pop culture and has never read an X-Men comic, and relies on reader suggestions for characters to include. He apparently thought it would be fun to have one blue character fucking another, not realizing the connection.
