Anonymous1: I really like this drawing as art. It's simple, yet gives Merida a convincing pose and expression. She's serious about what she's about to do. However, there weren't really a lot of dark-skinned men in Dark Age Scotland, and I don't remember any dark-skinned characters. Maybe a Moorish trader or pirate? The slave trade at this time was largely white Europeans being carried off to the Muslim lands.
