I've wondered about the cultural significance of asians (in anime anyways) having nosebleeds from arousal. It certainly does have to do with the increased blood pressure, although I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the size of the asian member. All of the asians I know do not get nosebleeds when sexually aroused, so I have some suspicion it has something to do with the fact that anime is almost entirely related in the faces of its characters. Maybe they do it just to signify increased blood pressure, and a nose bleed is a little more normal then bleeding out the eyes or ears, and after a while it just became the social norm?
