feifongwong: beth is not chubby ya ass hole in total drama action she loses her braces and looks 1,000,000,000,000,000 times hot. so whoever thinks beth is fat or ugly must be fucking with the world.
meowmix: A6 has a point, my friend got them taken off when we were 15 and she had this faint but noticeable whiter parts where the braces covered. Never had em but I could see why that could happen. But the thing is it wasn't noticeable because they're teeth.
Anonymous7: I find Beth to be neutral in looks for me personally but due to lack of fanarts I greatly enjoy seeing her (and others) works when they show up and moreso if they show great effort and art put into them like above. I also understand why some do find her hot and some don't. It's different perceptions and options. While in current times thin gals often are presented as the "sexy" models there are people who don't find them appealing and rather prefer gals who have meat on the bones. In the past (200+ or so) larger gals was the attractive figure for many due to status it implied. The plump gals usually had money thus could afford to eat and dine at fancy parties and have available foods that the poor didn't have access to. The size was a symbol of their wealth and they showcased it in pride.
Nowadays thin gals are the hype and since day one we are taught by magazines, media, and peers being told what is "sexy" and what is not. However everybody is different and likes different things including to them what is "sexy".
Fashion is also a constantly changing trend of what is "hot" and what is not. What was "ugly" or cheap 20 years ago is now the latest trend and is "hot" as perhaps a big movie showcased it, a rapper wore it, and further ways media and celebrities affect the perceptions of many things. Things that was hot 20 years ago are now old shames and things hot 30 years ago could be "retro" and regain popular status. How we perceive things and the fact we all perceive things differently is a major factor.
Recently looking for "Beth" pictures on certain websites I would come across a new character from the show Bravest Warriors that also has a Beth in it and while the style is very basic and the character is short, has curves like Beth, and has a more distorted face, dot eyes, and looks close to this Beth without glasses and a different fashion but same or very similar body type many find her "sexy" I believe because we are told she's "sexy" and nothing else.
If the creators and production team went and very vocally said that this Beth is "sexy" (and some did and more on that bellow) and the other characters commented likewise so would perception of that of many people. How we see and view things is effected by not just us as a individual but from the perception and informed abilities and looks by others. Some did on the staff and makers thus the production itself are divided in this aspect as some wrote she is: bellow average, starts of bellow average but with each season gain some sort of upgrade showcasing time and visual changes and match character development during and between seasons however it's uncertain if they would continue that plan as making this show with flash animation programing would require making a new flash file and actions and emotions files of Beth each time and the might be work they just don't have the time and practice to do (since she wasn't seen for season 4 majority and perhaps won't make a cameo on season 5 by season 6 she might have a major change in appearance that was created within development of season 4-5), looks like a geek/dork yet by dork standards very appealing, has a ok face but a sexy body, has a very condensed and pettie body being the smallest character on the show yet she fit and waist is thin but the hourglass pinch portion is less distanced then the others giving a more chubby look unless she bends down revealing her smaller waist line, is a above average gal but when placed among the super super model looking gals of the show is lower by comparison, wears clothes that was meant to showcase and give off a vibe different from the others who wears clothes meant from sexual appeal among other things, ect)
I have seen a couple of different artworks from artists showcasing Beth outside of the style of the TDI show to the artists style or attempt at a different style and a few to my option have Beth looks very ugly, very sexy, and majority having Beth looking very cute. Those artists then write they were making Beth not just in a style outside of the TDI format but how THEY viewed Beth and what she would look like converted to the different style.
Wow I wrote alot just now but it's a topic that was interesting to me presented in the comments to explore and I wanted to post my semi-deep feelings on it :)
