I always pictured him saying to the kernel that he'd do anything for the dog that helped bring his puppies back home. and the kernel tells him that it was the great dane from hampstead that he should go to and tell of his promise. he goes, only to find out the great dane wants him to be his bitch. pongo is shocked and unwilling, but agrees to keep his promise.
