Anonymous2(1): But only Medusa, out of the three sisters, had the snake hair. It was given to her for being raped... as a punishment... let that be a lesson for you, don't get raped.
Anonymous3: Don't get raped in a temple by Poseidon, anyway. Other stories have her seduce him, which seems more fair given the punishment. She was not necessarily ugly, some myths describe her as beautiful, despite the snake hair. Actually it's the Gorgons who were originally depicted as more monsterous.
This is what happens when you look at Greek myths on Wikipedia then go see if there's any porn of it.
Anonymous8: Medusa is a Gorgon, she's the first. She was changed that way because of the rape thing, but then (don't ask how, never explained) there formed a whole monster race of them, the Gorgons. Know your mythology.
Anonymous9: Medusa and her two sisters were turned into Gorgons, but no one ever remembers their names. Also their are legends that attribute the Gorgons as the children of Ekhidnai the Mother of All Monsters, wich probably happened first so that Aphodite knew what Gorgons were when she turn Medusa and her sisters into them.
Anonymous10: It wasn't Aphrodite but Athena who turned them into monsters as punnishment to Posiden for going against Olympian law and having sex with Medusa in Athena's temple. The moral of the story is NEVER piss off the goddess of wisdom, war, and the city or break the law. I should kow I worship the ancient greek gods and goddesses. Also it wasn't rape but consential sex.
